REM Department of Regimental Music

REM provides training on Military musical practices and performances. REM will take cadets across songs performed by regiments including Anthems, Martial music, battle hymns and dirges. Cadet musicians are trained to perform various regimental music instruments, composition and conducting. For a period of 24 months (4 semesters in 2 years) trainees shall be introduced to music theory, regimental music concepts and literatures.

Trainees shall be trained and drilled in the practice and performance of regimental music instruments and further on practical and operational strategies in forming, training and managing regimental bands; their instruments and equipment. Trainees shall also be taught and drilled on the use of Music Software Applications, the digital economy and Cultural entrepreneurship to cultivate industrial musicianship.
