CLM Department of Classical Music
CLM acquaints cadets on classical musical elements, instruments, practices and performances. It informs cadets on the classical way of life, style and modes with emphasis on opera, classical symphonies, concerto, rondo, sonata and chamber music. Also included are hymns and anthems. For a period of 24 months (4 semesters in 2 years) trainees shall be introduced to music theory, classical music concepts and literatures; practice and performance in various
Classical music instruments including the violin, brass instruments, the piano, the drums, and further on practical and operational strategies in forming, training and management of a classical choirs; their instruments and equipment. Trainees shall also be taught and drilled on the use of Music Software Applications, the digital economy and Cultural entrepreneurship to cultivate industrial musicianship.
